SANCTUARY WITHIN BAOBAB

Sanctuary Baobab_InPer
Overall rendering

We aim to create a sacred architecture that could cater people believing in different religion and using different functions while sharing spaces in one architecture. We believe that sacred means an individual religious experience of connecting human beings and the greatest nature. Through the design process, a series of semi-circular spaces are created from the tree, Baobab, to serve the mentioned purpose as a generic module regardless the types of functions nor religions. When an individual stands in front of the concave side of this semi-circular space, a sense of safe and being embraced will be felt. Such kind of feeling makes the believers concentrated in searching the connection and communicate with their faith.
