Being inspired by Kiriko festivals, where the gigantic traditional lantern is moved sea along the seashore, to abstract experience of being inside the water. Sea wave is abstracted into the form of our pavilion.

Under the wave, a series of on-going art activities during the residency is also suggested.
Through attending Kiriko festivals, experiencing salt mining and different traditional craftsmanship, we will record of the livelihood at Oku-Noto area in photos and sketches etc. and display them under the pavilion as an exhibition. By the public event space under the pavilion, a new interpretation of people, sea and land in Oku-Noto could be brought out.
