Echigo-Tsumari region is full of nature. Although the green summer is amazing, we are more fascinated in her white winter. We start with Yasunari Kawabatabs Snowy country.

“The train came out of the long tunnel into the snow country. The earth lay white under the night sky. The train pulled up at a signal stop.
“ We are yearning the white world. It is so quiet, beautiful and tranquil to feel the whole world is being frozen. The snowy Niigata city is startling.

All lives experience the rough coldness. Things lay under the thickly white snow. The feeling of sky and the earth becomes one. We feel only solitude is left. The “I” becomes part of the snowy world. “I” am finding white in the infinity darkness. When there is only black and white left. “I” am seeking the distinguishing line between the sky and the earth.

Trees hint “me” to move towards as its vitality attracts “me” even though they are freeze by the winter breeze
